The Tide Letter

New books, true treasure-coast stories, and one free fable for joining.

Come down early.

The Tide Letter comes in about once a month: what’s true on the beach right now, one story, honest book news, and exactly one ask. No daily noise. No fake subscriber counts. The tide is not going anywhere.

What you get for joining

A real welcome email, written like a letter, with one free original fable attached as a thank-you — a fable that does not appear in the published books. Then the monthly letter when the tide comes in.

How signup works (the old-fashioned way)

Tap the button and your email app opens a short note already addressed and ready. Send it. We add you by hand and send the welcome with the free fable. That is the whole handshake.

Or just email tide@johnmhenry.com with the subject line SIGN ME UP.

How to leave

Reply to any Tide Letter with the word UNSUBSCRIBE. You’ll get a one-line goodbye and you won’t hear from us again. No hard feelings. The beach will still be there at noon.

If your device doesn’t open email links, copy the address above into any mail app. That’s enough.

A word about the free fable

The welcome gift is an original piece written for people who show up early — not a chapter lifted from The Golden Shore or any other KDP Select title. (Those books stay exclusive to Amazon, as they should.) On this site you can read one published sample — The Gull and the Osprey — anytime. The welcome fable is different, and it arrives by mail.
